The 7 steps to follow for therapy:

1) have your GP or specialist doctor prescribe your treatment ( Dax resort - Orientation: Rheumatology and/or Phlebology),
2) ask your health insurance company to pay for the treatment (their agreement may take 3 weeks),
3) choose and book your accommodation (telephone and confirm by letter),
4) book your place at the Borda Thermal Spa (confirm by letter),
5) make an appointment with a spa doctor at the resort on the day you arrive,
6) organise your journey,
7) forward your post to your address in Dax.

What to do if payment is refused

It is possible to appeal to your insurance company to take a second look at your file. If you payment is once again refused, you may come for treatments anyway but they will not be paid for by a third party. Take a look at our Leisure pages.

Before leaving home:

It is imperative that you bring your health insurance cover, medical file, scans and X-rays, analysis results, booking confirmation, contracts, inventories, etc. Please also bring swimming costumes, hats and towels and non-slip plastic shoes. Laundry accompanying the treatments will be done by the thermal establishment.
